Open Arts Studio Company is a new teen dance company in Brooklyn led by Choreographer and Artistic Director Laura Peterson. 

We are forging a "Young Dancer as Artist" training program driven by exploratory research. Company members share their own work and collaborate with choreographer Laura Peterson on an original dance work.

Working in a dance company can be an important opportunity for individual and artistic growth. We work in person, in real time, communicating our concepts and developing our community. We learn how to navigate the complexities of the body and mind to become more prepared citizen artists, ready to create the future.

Our first session rehearsals began in January 2024
Each week includes one class and one rehearsal.
Option for 2 additional technique classes during the week
