Open Arts Studio Company is a teen dance company in Brooklyn led by Choreographer and Artistic Director Laura Peterson and Assistant Director, Sofia Quezaire.

We are forging a "Young Dancer as Artist" training program driven by exploratory research. Company members share their own work and collaborate with choreographer Laura Peterson on an original dance piece.

Working in a dance company is an important opportunity for individual and artistic growth. We work in person, in real time, communicating our concepts and developing our community. We learn how to navigate the complexities of the body and mind to become more prepared citizen artists, ready to create the future.

Our fall season rehearsals begin in September 2025.
Each week includes one class and one rehearsal.
Option for 2 additional technique classes during the week.
