SOLO takes place on and around two large scale paintings. One is a giant black square while other a tangle of intricate, spiral-shaped red pathways. Performed with sustained intensity for the entire duration, the movement embraces repetition as punishment, as form, as an expression of time. This dance utilizes clean, sharp, complex choreography as the expression of multi-layered emotions, resulting in an visually arresting performance filled with anguish. SOLO is a dance about grief.
